Paralogic Tiemann / Coudé Tip catheters
A Tiemann catheter, also known as a Coudé-tipped catheter, is angled upward at the tip to assist in negotiating the upward bend in the male urethra. The angled tip facilitates passage through the bladder neck in the presence of obstruction and may be useful if you have an enlarged prostate gland, stricture or scarring.

An improved male catheter
By: Peter Meadows on 18 January 2024I have been using Paralogic male catheters since the middle of last year. The only ones available at that time were those with a straight tip and one drainage orifice at the tip. Although excellent and easy to use I found that there was considerable resistance to forcing the catheter past the sphincters at the base of the bladder. Although not painful it was uncomfortable and needed a degree of courage to proceed! In addition, as only one drainage hole was provided careful positioning was required to ensure all urine was drained from the bladder. However, my last order was supplied with the Tiemann / Coude Tip Male Catheters which have a slightly upturned tip and two drainage holes at the tip end. By positioning the catheter at insertion so that the tip faces upwards towards the body, on reaching the sphincters it just slides through with no further pressure applied. This facilitates the process and reduces the discomfort to negligible levels. In addition the two drainage holes ensure that all urine in drained from the bladder without having to reposition the catheter. A marked and very welcome improvement for those of us who must use catheters.

Tiemann catheters response
By: Graham Howie on 21 May 2022I purchased these catheters thinking that they may be easier to insert into the bladder. I found that they were no better than the normal straight soft catheters and was a little disappointed.

Awesome team
By: Paul on 20 March 2022Without Paralogic I would be struggling to afford all the equipment I need, they supply a product which, I believe is the same as all the major companies at a fraction of the price. I'm so glad I found them, they are so helpful. I've recently had to change to the Tremain catheter which they were more than happy to send me samples till I found the correct fit.

Excellent product
By: Jeremiah on 7 March 2019I started using these catheters at the recommendation of my urologist, after having issues with regular straight tipped ones. They have been excellent for me and I now use them exclusively. I would definitely recommend them.
