Foley Indwelling Catheters



Foley catheters are indwelling urinary catheter, used to drain urine from the bladder, they are inserted into the bladder and remain for some time. They can be inserted through the urethra (Urinary Tract Indwelling or urethral catheterisation) or via a surgical hole in the abdomen (Suprapubic Catheters or SPC) to drain urine from the bladder into a collection bag. A foley catheter held in place by a small balloon inflated with water to prevent it slipping from the bladder.

Foley catheters are available in standard / unisex length (40-45cm) and female length (20-25cm).
